All Sold Out originally uploaded by el3

The 26th Annual Federal Women's Conference officially announced on February 29, 2008 that all 600 seats have been filled for Martin's West.  Check out the official Federal Executive Board site to find out more information. The fact that the conference has sold out is a tribute to the efforts of the FEB, the Federal Women's Council, and the cooperation of all of the Federal agencies who provide their support every year. Of course, no conference succeeds without the participants and we want to say thank you to everyone who has had a hand in our success this year.

We salute you all!

Federal Women’s Council Award

The Baltimore Federal Executive Board presents a Federal Women’s Advisory Council (FWAC) Award each year during Women’s History Month in March.  This special award is designed to recognize an employee and/or Federal agency, Directorate or Organization from among our partner Federal agencies and installations through outstanding achievements.

The Outstanding Award is presented to a woman who has exemplified great attributions in character as a role model who is engaged in her career.  The Legacy Award for an organization is presented to a Federal entity which has made historical contributions to the advancement of women and efforts to eliminate sexual harassment in the workplace.

The Federal Women’s Program exists within the components and framework of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program established to address the needs and concerns of women to achieve equal recognition in the workplace.  The goals of the FWAC are to improve employment and career advancement opportunities, to increase respect for women employees at all grade levels and work toward the elimination of sexual harassment in the workplace.

While support of the FWAC and the EEO Program is expected of all employees and managers, there are some who go beyond what is expected in the workplace which deserves special recognition.  Employees, managers and agencies are encouraged to submit nominations.  We primarily solicit female employees for the individual award nominations; however, nominations for male employees are strongly encouraged who also deserve this special recognition.
